Big Stack at a Final Table
When you are the big stack at the final table in an Everest Poker tournament, you are the envy of all the other players. As the big stack you should have two goals in mind: to preserve your lead as the big stack, and to use your stack as a weapon to whittle away at other players’ stacks.
If the poker online table is tight, with the other players afraid to make a move and playing passively, then take advantage of that tone and raise the betting to prompt folding. At some point, another player will fight back against you, but while they’re all sitting tight hoping for others to go out ahead, then exploit that tendency. Raise your blind, raise from early position and raise from the button. You can create a scary image this way so that the other players don’t want to tangle with you.
When other players demonstrate the desire to avoid you and tend to fold a lot to outlast each other, then go on the attack. Isolate the blinds if you can.
If another poker online player does make a raise ahead of you with a call, then let those two players fight it out. However, if you’ve got a hand, re-raise to isolate a player and go heads-up. You always want to make your big stack bigger if you can.
