A Primer on Carp Fishing Accessories
Carp fishing is a rather challenging past-time because carp are very intelligent and wary of taking the bait. However, with some guile, you can tempt carp and trick them into being caught. Here’s just a few useful tips to help you when fishing for carp:-
- Bring boilies based on fishmeal in the summer and autumn seasons, and try your hand with half-half combinations or birdfood bait during the winter and spring
- For particile baits, add a lot of salt, especially the cooked ones like . Carp savour salty foods. Roughly, add a single tablespoon of salt to five litres dry particles. These are also good cheap baits to use!
- When the water is cold such as in the winter, try throwing your rigs more frequently, and aim at various areas in order to set a hook bait close to the carp. The colder water slows down the movements of carp thus there’s less chance for the fish to swim towards your bait. During summer, you can place traps in possible patrolling areas and wait for the carp to find the bait.
- Add high sources of vitamin C into your bait. Stir up your method with orange juice as opposed to water from the lake. Also try soaking fresh boilies in fruit juice so as to to create that well-defined relish.
- If you’re careful about overfeeding the swim, then try breadcrumb groundbait with merely the attractants added, but with particle baits NOT included. This lures the fish without stuffing them.
- Lastly, make sure you have the right fishing gear with you. Research what you should bring online. You can find all kinds of things online, such as carp bite alarms - and be sure to enjoy yourself!
