Human Modification Needed to Reduce Food Consumption and Waste

    March 31st, 2008

The human body is a marvel in organic possibilities. The evolutionary process has put us at the top of the food chain for a reason. Yet as good as this bio-system is, it is not without its difficulties. A soft shell of flesh and bone with a strong defense mechanism to keep out harmful bacteria, pathogens and diseases serves us well, but it may not be well suited from other planets or environments.

A powerful immune system has worked well on Earth and adapted along the way to defend against most local planet threats, however what about another planet with a different set of threats? What about a clean environment such as a space capsule one, which starts out perfectly clean but the absence of gravity allows some bacteria to grow faster than other normal immune system bacteria in our bio systems?

Indeed the human body appears on the surface to be a very efficient design taking millions of years of evolution to create, yet in terms of different environments it is not the best possible model.

Therefore we will need to make a little human modification to reduce food intake and consumption and limit human waste, as whatever is not used by the body will be discharged, but there will be little space to hold it and we will need to make it into something else we can use during the space flight to a far away world. Think on this in 2006.

    How To Build A Waterfall

    March 31st, 2008

With a fair amount of hard work and patience, you can easily build your own waterfall in your garden. However, before embarking on the task, there are some things to consider. Check whether your landscape has an elevation. If not, it means more labor. Building a waterfall pond will require digging. Check with utility companies to see if you’ll be damaging any of their underground cables in the process.

While building the waterfall, the important aspects to be considered are the base pool, the height to which water is to be lifted and the feature on which it is to be cascaded. Begin digging the ground at the desired spot. This would require care and labor. Pack the bottom of the pond with stones and sand. This will give it an ocean bed effect, as well as prevent water from percolating inside the ground.

Now you can begin setting up the cascade. It is better to play with materials that are freely available in the garden, such as rocks. Select rocks that are large enough and at the same time fit well into each other. Place the rocks in such a way that the heavier rocks are at the bottom and the smaller ones are at the top. The basal rocks must jut into the pond, otherwise the fall won’t happen. Do not pile the rocks too high. Judge the height of the waterfall by the amount of water in the pond. Concrete rocks are also available in the market. These wedge nicely into each other, but they increase the cost of the waterfall.

Once this is done, the difficult task of setting up the pump begins. You will need a submersible pump. Place this pump inside the water. Attach the pipe to it and bring the pipe to the top of the rocks. The pipe should be hidden into the rocks. Adjust the rocks a little if need be. Even at the topmost point the pipe should be hidden among rocks. When the water falls, it should appear as if it is falling through the rocks and not through artificial pipes.

Many aesthetic things can be done with the waterfall. Some rocks can be placed in steps one above the other. If these rocks are flat enough, the water will strike them and bounce down, leading to another waterfall in itself. Fishes and plants can be placed in the pond. Artificial birds or mermaids can be erected around the pond. You can even keep a birdfeeder so that birds would chirp around the waterfall all the time, giving it a more natural effect.

The sound of water striking water in the garden is soothing. However, do not keep the waterfall running when you are absent. It will lower the level of water in the pond and the pump may burn out.

Succeed With Your Own Internet Business

    March 31st, 2008

An internet business is by far the best way to support yourself
if you just cannot stand working for others for less money than
you need to survive. It’s also the best way to get out of a good
paying job that just takes up too much of your precious short
life working for someone else. Let’s face it, you probably know
someone who has an internet business. Do they look happy to you?
Do they complain as much about work and money as you do?
    Probably not.

This is not to say that you should quit your job and start an
internet business. You should start one while you still have
your job. Some people complain that this is hard and takes up
too much of their free time. In the beginning a internet
business is not profitable - you have to work at it like
    anything else.

Some people eventually go back to work blaming some program or
internet business opportunity that wasted their time and didn’t
work. Unfortunately, the odds are actually that they didn’t work
hard enough and stick to their dreams. Many people allow
themselves to believe that there are no legitimate internet
businesses. It’s easier to go to work thinking this than to let
themselves believe that an internet business is possible,
    profitable, and liberating.

But if you truly believe there are no good internet businesses,
that they are all scams, then what are the thousands of people
doing everyday in your hometown driving around during work
    hours?

You know the ones. The people you see on your day off that are
driving around and standing in line in places you frequent on
your days off. They can’t ALL be on their days off too! You have
wondered, just like I did, what it is these people do. I know
    you have.

Many of them have their own internet business. Many of the
people you see at the post office who know the clerks by first
name are shipping packages of goods they sold on auction at Ebay
    or their own websites.

The cars parked in the county clerk’s office in your home town.
Some are employees there, but not all of them. Many of the
people coming and going from that office in your town (during
business hours when everyone should be working, right?) are real
estate brokers, or no money down buyers and sellers looking up
    local property information.

Internet business owners are all around you, everyday. The
internet business industry is quite literally booming and is
getting larger exponentially by the month.

The worst thing you could ever do to yourself, that is a
life-altering belief system, is let yourself believe it is all a
scam or that there is no room for YOUR creativity and YOUR value
as a internet business owner of any kind!

Take me for instance! I own my own internet business and I sell
information, business tools for internet business people, and
services of all kinds. I work from home. I am one of those
people you see during the week driving around town while you
wonder what it is I do for a living. Nice to meet you!

Two Quick And Easy-To-Implement Tactics To Monetarise The Traffic ALREADY On Your Web Site!

    March 30th, 2008

The Internet is full of “How To Get MORE Traffic To Your Web
    Site” Schemes, Strategies And Techniques…

And yes, while getting more pre-qualified traffic to your web
site is always a positive thing, a better approach is to
utilize/ maximize the traffic that is ALREADY there, on it (your
    web site that is).

Here’s a better question… “What are you doing with the web
site traffic that’s already ON your web site?”

Or, a simple premise… “If a person is already ON your web site
they’re searching for something, right?” They just didn’t turn
up on it because there was nothing worthwhile to watch on TV…
or they thought they’d just go surfing while waiting for the
    roast (dinner) to cook.

They WANT something from you (and your web site).

Here’s what happens (in the brain) when a person lands on your
    web site.

The brain says to itself “What is it?”… and then it says
(again to itself, unless you’re in the habit of talking out loud
to your own brain)… “What’s in it for me?”

Now, if the brain (aka that thing between your ears) doesn’t get
a good, CLEAR answer to its own question/s, then it gets very
confused very quickly and then it says (again to itself) “I’m
confused, I’m going elsewhere”, or… “I think I’ll go check out
    the roast dinner now”.

Bingo, They’re gone (probably never to return again).

    Now, here’s another way!

Master Internet marketers talk a lot about “sales funnels”. What
they mean by this is the directing of people from an OFF-site
source (usually another web site, text link ad etc) down a
pre-determined path towards their own pre-determined (and
desired) outcome (usually the signup to a list).

So, what if you were to take this (sales funnel) concept and
apply it to your ON-site traffic and systems? What would happen
    then?

Well, I did just that. I tested my own theory, and noticed an
immediate and dramatic spike in traffic to my own pre-determined
(and desired) ON-site outcomes/ actions (from people who were
    already ON my web site).

I used techniques to redirect people (who were already on my web
site) to my desired outcome (and I tracked these systems to see
    what happened).

    The sign ups soared!

    Here’s what I did.

    1. Used a new generation popup system on the landing page.

Now, when new visitors landed on my site a high percentage of
them clicked on the “PS” type (popup) note and were taken
through to the offer ON my site. This page (of course) has a
navigation bar. People can still access the other content that’s
    ON my web site.

    2. Set up a footer - text-based banner - on every second tier
    page.

The copy in this footer banner was unobtrusive. It repeated the
message on the “PS” popup on the landing page. I used text (to
    ’say’ the benefit).

    My conclusions,

    >>> “In addition to working on increasing traffic to my web site
from OFF-site sources, implement better ON-site
traffic-direction techniques for the traffic that’s already on
    it”, and

    >>> “Point first time visitors towards my own (desired) ON-site
outcomes, right up front… and then KEEP them on my site with a
consistent - benefit laden - navigation bar”.
